Sheffield Wednesday sign Leicester's Michael Morrison
Morrison was a key figure in Leicester's charge to the play-offs last season
Sheffield Wednesday have signed Leicester City centre-half Michael Morrison for an undisclosed fee.
Morrison, 22, was a key player for City last season but has struggled to win a regular spot this term and was allowed to talk to the Owls on Thursday.
Foxes assistant boss Derek Fazackerley said: "We tried to persuade him there was still a future for him here.
"But he was a bit concerned how much football he would play over the next six months with the players coming in."
Morrison, who joined the Foxes from Cambridge United in 2008, had started the last three games for Leicester.
But manager Sven-Goran Eriksson had already signed central defenders Sol Bamba and Ben Mee in this transfer window meaning Morrison had once again fallen down the pecking order.
