Nottingham Forest have had a bid for Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Jermaine Johnson turned down.

Johnson signed for the Owls from Bradford City in January 2007 and agreed a contract extension last October until 2011.

The winger, who began his English career with Bolton Wanderers, has more than 50 caps for Jamaica.
