Geoff Sheard has dismissed speculation linking Alan Shearer and Kenny Dalglish with the manager's job at Hillsborough.
Sheard, who is heading a consortium trying to buy the Championship club, said the rumours were disrespectful to current boss Brian Laws.
Sheard told BBC Radio Sheffield his first move, if the takeover is successful, will be to meet with Laws.
He said: "It may be that our plans don't suit him but Brian is the manager and I think it is unfair to comment."
Meanwhile Sheard said he would be surprised if fans group Wednesdayite decided against selling their 10% share holding to him.
The Wednesdayite board are currently carrying out legal due diligence on Sheard's offer before balloting their members.
"I have submitted a document which outlines our plans and I'm sure they will be passing that onto their members."
On the field the Owls started their pre-season tour of Holland with a 2-0 win at FC Haarlem on Tuesday with Deon Burton and Marcus Tudgay both getting on the scoresheet.
Wednesday's next pre-season game is against Stormvogel Telstar on Thursday.
