Sheffield United have re-signed defender Rob Kozluk on a one-year deal after his release by Barnsley.

The 32-year-old full-back made 213 appearances for the Blades in an eight-year spell from 1998-2007.

Kozluk told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I'm really happy to have another chance to play for the Blades.

"I am fully aware that I am going to have fight for my place in the team, but right now there isn't a recognised right back at the club.

He added: "I want to work hard for a place in the starting XI on the opening day of the season.

"I had surgery on my knee at the end of last season, but I am in better shape now than I have been for a long time."
