Blades extend Chris Morgan and Stephen Quinn contracts
Morgan and Quinn remain integral parts of the Sheffield United squad
Sheffield United have extended the contracts of club captain Chris Morgan and midfielder Stephen Quinn until the end of the 2010-11 season.
The Blades have invoked a clause in their current deals that will keep them at Bramall Lane for another 12 months.
Boss Kevin Blackwell told BBC Radio Sheffield it was an easy decision to keep the duo at the football club.
He said: "They've been real stalwarts at this club and it's really good news that they're here for another year.
Blackwell added: "At this point, hopefully, it will mean that I can sit down at a bit more leisure and have a long chat about where we go with them long term.
"Certainly it is good news that the club have that option and have taken it up."
Meanwhile, the Blades have decided that they will not be offering a contract to former Newcastle United winger Nolberto Solano.
The 35-year-old Peru international has been on trial at Bramall Lane for the last week, but has not done enough to earn permanent deal.
