Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell has confirmed his interest in taking the Birmingham City striker Gary McSheffrey on loan.
The Blades have just one fit striker after Ched Evans was injured on international duty with Wales.
"[McSheffrey] is a name out of two or three we've been linked with and there's something in all of them," Blackwell told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"But I won't say where we are with that one just yet."
