Kenny had recently threatened to leave Sheffield United
Sheffield United have confirmed goalkeeper Paddy Kenny has been placed on the transfer list.
The 30-year-old is believed to have fallen out with manager Kevin Blackwell after turning up late for training on Christmas Day.
Blades boss Kevin Blackwell told BBC Radio Sheffield: "Paddy has always been a key member of the squad but everyone has to adhere to the rules."
He has played almost 300 games for United since joining from Bury in 2002.
Kenny, who has seven international caps for the Republic of Ireland, has been dropped for the Blades' last two matches and recently threatened to leave the club unless he was offered a new contract.
And Blackwell added: "Paddy still has 18 months left on his contract but we're not in a position to offer him a new deal yet and I think that has frustrated him."
Meanwhile young Blades defender Kyle Walker has returned from his loan spell at Northampton Town.
