Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell has said there are still places up for grabs for their season opener at Birmingham City.

"I have an open mind on two or three positions at the moment but that is what pre-season is there for," Blackwell told BBC Radio Sheffield.

The Blades are monitoring the fitness of Danny Webber and Darius Henderson ahead of the trip to St Andrews.

And Blackwell added: "We are desperate for the season to start."
