Plc chairman McCabe tied up the deal with Chengdu Blades |
Sheffield United are in talks with Sparta Rotterdam about the possibility of taking them on as a feeder club. The Blades, who own Chinese outfit Chengdu Blades, are also talking to an unnamed Belgian club.
Blades plc chairman Kevin McCabe told BBC Radio Sheffield: "We have got discussions with a couple of clubs and we'll see what the best deal is for us.
"Maybe they could accommodate overseas players we can't get into our first team or can't get a work permit for."
The Blades will follow in the footsteps of Arsenal and Manchester United in using clubs in the Low Countries as feeder clubs.
Arsenal use Belgian club Beveren as their feeder, while United have a similar arrangement with Royal Antwerp.
