With Rob Ullathorne recovering form a double hernia operation and Jon Harley recalled by Fulham, Quinn arrived on loan from Newcastle on the eve of the Worthington Cup semi-final with Liverpool. "He's signed for two more months," said boss Neil Warnock. "We're obviously pleased, but we can't afford to make it permanent." The former Blade was substituted during Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Ipswich after hurting his back, but is expected to be fit in time for the FA Cup tie with Walsall. "He had a back problem and we could have taken him off sooner, but he should be okay," Warnock added. The 26-year-old full-back came through the youth ranks at Bramall Lane and made over 150 senior appearances for the Blades before being sold to Newcastle in January 2001. |
