Scunthorpe United striker Adam Boyes has left the club after having his contract cancelled by mutual consent.
The 20-year-old signed for the Iron from York in 2009 for an undisclosed fee, but never made a first team appearance for the Championship club.
During his time as a Scunthorpe player, Boyes had loan spells at York City and Kidderminster Harriers.
Boyes also had a trial at Old Trafford in 2008, after attracting the interest of Manchester United.
He was part of the York City side which lost in the FA Trophy final at Wembley in 2009.
