Scunthorpe United want to extend Freddie Sears loan
Sears has represent England at Under-21 level
Scunthorpe United have held talks with West Ham about extending the loan deal of Freddie Sears.
Sears has made a big impression at Glanford Park and Iron manager Ian Baraclough would like to keep hold of the 20-year-old.
He told BBC Radio Humberside: "I've already spoken to West Ham and they know he's being looked after very well.
"He's brought us something different and it's important we keep someone like that hear for a little while."
Sears has played his part in United's away wins at Preston and Watford in their last two Championship games and Baraclough has been impressed by the mobile forward.
"I know they (West Ham) have got one or two injury worries up front but they can see he's enjoying his football by the way he's gone and performed in those two games."
