Scunthorpe United have signed Preston North End left-back Eddie Nolan on a six-month loan deal with a view to a permanent move.
The 21-year-old Republic of Ireland international joined Preston from Blackburn in 2008 and made 46 appearances for the Lilywhites.
However he spent the second half of last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, where he played 14 times.
He was placed on the North End transfer list after the Owls spell.
