Scunthorpe United have completed the loan signing of West Bromwich Albion defender Shelton Martis. The 25-year-old centre-back moves to Glanford Park for an initial period of one month.
Former Darlington player Martis joined the Baggies in the summer from Hibs and has so far played just twice for them.
"Opportunities have been hard to come by for Shelton here so far but I particularly like his qualities," boss Tony Mowbray told the Albion website.
Scunthorpe's Marcus Williams has won his appeal against the red card he was shown against West Bromwich Albion on 29 December. With the Iron losing 1-0, Williams was sent off for denying a goalscoring opportunity - and they went on to lose 5-0.
However, a Football Association disciplinary commission upheld his claim for wrongful dismissal, and withdrew his suspension.
