Scunthorpe have been dealt a blow with news Andy Butler has fractured a bone in his foot and faces a month out. The 24-year-old will be unavailable for the Christmas fixture schedule after being forced off during Saturday's 3-2 defeat away at Ipswich.
Butler's absence leaves manager Nigel Adkins with a defensive crisis.
Fellow defenders Izzy Iriekpen, Kelly Youga and Cliff Byrne are all either suspended or working their way back from injuries.
