Scunthorpe United have terminated the contract of striker Ramon Calliste by mutual consent. Calliste, 21, joined the club from Liverpool last summer but suffered a broken ankle during the 4-0 pre-season win against non-league Brigg Town.
The Wales under-21 international has failed to break into the first-team since recovering from the injury.
Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins told the Telegraph: "Ramon does not figure in our plans for next season."
