Widdrington's side last made the first round in 2006
Salisbury City manager Tommy Widdrington praised his players after they won through to the first round of the FA Cup.
A hat-trick from Matt Tubbs and a strike from Chris Flood saw the Whites beat Farnborough 4-2 in their final qualifying-round replay.
The home victory sets up a trip to League Two Accrington Stanley.
"I'm delighted," Widdrington told BBC Wiltshire. "I thought we were dominant in the second tie."
The Whites took an early lead through Tubbs' excellent free-kick before the Southern Premier leaders hit back to lead 2-1 at half-time.
Two goals from Tubbs soon after the re-start, the first a penalty, saw Salisbury lead 3-2. Flood then wrapped up the victory.
Widdrington was delighted with how his players responded to his half-time team-talk.
"I thought the group as a whole responded magnificently to what I said to them. It's really pleasing when you've got a group of lads who respond to what I say to them," he said.
"We didn't feel blasé about getting them back to Salisbury but I knew they've played a lot of games recently.
"I just thought our quality, our movement, our pace and our fitness in the end was going to be a key factor."
