The administrators running Salisbury City have confirmed two new groups have contacted them about buying the club.
All three interested parties have now been set a deadline of Wednesday evening to make a formal offer for the Blue Square Premier side.
Administrator Mike Fortune told BBC Wiltshire matters are coming to a head.
"Over the course of the last week we've had an expression of interest from two new parties and they both appear to want to progress matters," he said.
"I'd expect to have offers by close of business Wednesday; we'll consider them over the next 48 hours and then confirm to the interested party that we're going to accept their offer, provided they meet all our conditions.
"We would then put the deal to the creditors, which is a three- or four-week process," Fortune added.
BBC Wiltshire understands one of the new groups is a four-strong consortium made up of local businessmen who watched Saturday's 3-0 win over Barrow.
The other has a business background in youth and academy football.
Talks were already well under way with an existing group of potential investors, which includes potential chairman William Harrison-Allan.
Fortune admits the late interest can be looked at in two ways.
"Our aim is for the survival of the club as a going concern and obviously we want to look at the best offer for Salisbury, so it does muddy the waters a little - but it could obviously provide a better return to creditors."
Salisbury's victory over Barrow moved them out of the Blue Square Premier relegation zone, despite their 10-point penalty for going into administration.
