Salisbury City captain Michael Fowler looks set to leave the club.
The midfielder told BBC Wiltshire he has not been paid this month and is still owed wages from last season.
The 27-year-old player has agreed with Whites chairman Neville Beal that he can leave the Blue Square Premier club on a free transfer.
Salisbury have six-figure debts and have been up for sale since April, but do not appear to be any closer to finding new owners.
Fowler joined Salisbury in 2007, making 50 appearances for the club and was part of the squad which won promotion to the Blue Square Premier.
