Matthews keen on Salisbury stay

Robbie Matthews
Matthews is one of Salisbury's longest-serving players

Robbie Matthews wants to stay at Salisbury City and help his home club remain in the Blue Square Premier.

The striker has returned to the Raymond McEnhill Stadium after being loaned out to Havant & Waterloovile in November as the Whites cut their wage bill.

Matthews was recalled for the loss at Kettering and wants to play his part.

"I want to stay. We could be in a relegation battle because we're not far from the drop. I want to keep Salisbury up," he told BBC Radio Wiltshire.
