Salisbury City manager Nick Holmes hopes new signing Dave Winfield will tighten his team's defence.
Winfield, 20, has joined the Whites on a month's loan from Aldershot as he continues his comeback from injury.
Salisbury are only two points above the Blue Square Premier relegation zone and Holmes believes the new addition will help the current defenders.
"He's proven at Conference level. I'm hoping that he will help us get back on track," he told BBC Radio Wiltshire.
