Goalkeeper James Bittner has been challenged to keep first-choice Ryan Clarke out of the Salisbury side by his manager Nick Holmes.

Clarke was ever-present last term but will miss some of pre-season after injuring his foot whilst on holiday.

Bittner starred in Tuesday's friendly against Southampton and Holmes told BBC Radio Wiltshire the goalkeeper's jersey is his to lose.

"He's got to prove to us, do the business and keep the shirt."
