Rushden boss Justin Edinburgh has received praise from former team-mate Colin Calderwood as they prepare for the Blue Square Premier play-offs.
The pair enjoyed a long spell at Tottenham during the 1990s.
Calderwood told BBC Radio Northampton: "I wish them the best of luck. It would round off a fantastic season for them.
"It relates to him being successful at Southend and Tottenham. But it's not just being a good player, it's that deeper thinking process."
Calderwood is assistant manager at Championship winners Newcastle and he said: "It becomes a very emotional time in the play-offs.
"But it's much more rewarding when you are successful as a manager."
