Tomlin has already scored more goals in 2009 than all of last season
Rushden and Diamonds winger Lee Tomlin says the team will be take confidence from their performance in the FA Cup.
The 20-year-old scored the Diamonds' first goal in the 3-2 defeat to League One side, Brighton.
Tomlin told BBC Radio Northampton: "We think we should've won, but we look to the league now.
"[Gavin Hoyte] was a good player and the manager says I need to carry on running at players, that's what I'm good at. Hopefully I can do that."
The defeat ended an eight game unbeaten run by the Diamonds, who now look to continue their rise up the Blue Square Premier, and face third-placed York on Tuesday (1945 GMT).
"It's gone now, and we'll all be confident going into Tuesday. We want to carry on doing well in the league," Tomlin added.
