Rushden and Diamonds manager Justin Edinburgh believes influential midfielder Lee Tomlin is a changed player this season.
The 20-year-old scored in the 1-0 victory over Chester on Saturday in the Blue Square Premier.
"You wouldn't have seen the same mentality, work rate, and closing down from him six or eight months ago," Edinburgh told BBC Radio Northampton.
"If he continues he can go as far. I can't praise him enough."
Tomlin returned to the team after a three-game ban that coincided with a trio of defeats for Rushden.
"He's a talent. I've said that since I've come here. He gives us that little spark that we perhaps missed," added Edinburgh.
"He always gives us the outlet and he's always a threat to the opposition. We're delighted to have him back."
