Edinburgh has been appointed Diamonds boss for an indefinite period
Justin Edinburgh has been confirmed as manager of Rushden & Diamonds on a permanent basis after acting as caretaker boss since February.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth defender took charge of the Blue Square Premier side following the resignation of Garry Hill.
"I'm delighted that he's accepted the job," said chairman Keith Cousins.
"We won't agree a length of time because we know if he's successful here he will go to a bigger club."
Cousins added: "That's why we've agreed this deal for an indefinite period. I think it's fantastic news.
"I'm sure Justin will work incredibly hard over the summer to prepare next summer's squad and do everything that needs to be done.
I know the club has a good history and we'll be looking forward to a bright future

"He has done a tremendous job in difficult circumstances since taking charge."
Edinburgh, who arrived at Nene Park in October 2008 as Hill's assistant, saw his team beat Woking 3-1 on Sunday to finish 11th in the final table.
"I know the club has a good history and we'll be looking forward to a bright future," he said.
"In the short space of time that I've been here, I've had the chance to put my influence onto the style of play and hopefully that can bring us success."
