Rushden & Diamonds defender Phil Gulliver has signed a new contract with the Northamptonshire club.

The 25-year-old central defender will now stay at Nene Park at least until the end of next season.

The Diamonds have also announced their retained list for next season in the Blue Square Premier.

Chris Hope, Jon Challinor, Curtis Woodhouse, Andy Burgess, Michael Rankine, Lee Tomlin, Tom Shaw, Marcus Kelly and Sam Smith are all staying.

Meanwhile Martyn Margarson, Jake Beecroft and Michael Corcoran have all had extension options taken up by the club on their contracts.

The players leaving are Paul Nicholls, Andrew Gooding, Alex Bolt and Abdou El Kholti.

Curtis Osano and Conal Platt have returned to their parent clubs as their loan deals have expired.
