Hill has managed Weymouth, Hornchurch and Dagenham |
Rushden & Diamonds have named former Weymouth boss Garry Hill as their new manager - their fourth of the season. He succeeds Graham Westley, who was relieved of his duties at the weekend, and will be joined at Nene Park by his long-serving assistant Kevin Hales.
Hill and Hales were sacked by Weymouth in January after the club's financial problems led to a cost-cutting review.
"Garry was our unanimous choice. His record at this level speaks for itself," chairman Keith Cousins said.
"He is extremely well-regarded in this division and has numerous games of management experience under his belt.
"I have no doubt in my mind that it will be a good partnership."

Westley was sacked as Rushden boss after Saturday's 2-2 draw at Aldershot - having only been appointed in December.
He succeeded Paul Hart, who left in October and was replaced by Tony Godden, who had a two-month spell as caretaker boss before Westley arrived.
Hill has previously managed Heybridge Swifts, St Albans City, Dagenham & Redbridge, Hornchurch and Weymouth.
He led Dagenham to the brink of promotion to the Football League in 2002, when they lost out to Boston United on goal difference.
Boston were later deducted four points for financial irregularities, but were allowed to keep their place in the League.
