Members of Rushden & Diamonds' supporters' trust have voted in favour of chairman Keith Cousins's recent takeover of the Conference club. The trust were handed control of the club in 2005 by the Griggs family.
However, Cousins took over as club chairman in November, and has now assumed responsibility for all the land and assets at Nene Park.
"I am pleased the Trust members have the confidence in me to take this club forward," Cousins said in a statement.
A new trust will now be formally created.
Diamonds defender Tom Bonner has joined Conference South side Bedford Town on loan for the rest of the season, although he will still train with Rushden.
