Holden started 37 league games for Shrewsbury last season
Rotherham have extended the loan deal of Dean Holden from League Two rivals Shrewsbury Town for another month.
The deal will keep the 30-year-old full-back at the Don Valley Stadium until the start of October.
However Holden will not be eligible to play when Shrewsbury host the Millers next Saturday (4 September).
Rotherham have also extended the loan deal of defender Exodus Geohaghon from League One side Peterborough United for another month.
Former Oldham defender Holden has featured in all three of Rotherham's league games in the place of the injured Jonny Mullins who is still short of fitness.
Meanwhile, striker Jeremiah Ani's move to the Millers has been confirmed after the deal received international clearance.
