Rotherham United chairman Tony Stewart has confirmed that negotiations are underway with Blackpool for the transfer of striker Rueben Reid.
Stewart stressed the talks are at an early stage.
Reid was withdrawn from Wednesday night's pre-season friendly against Nottingham Forest after an offer was made.
The 20-year-old scored 19 goals for the Millers as they overturned a 17 point deduction to stay up last season.
