Sharps has spent his entire playing career at Prenton Park |
Rotherham United have completed the signing of Tranmere's Ian Sharps. The 25-year-old defender, who has spent all of his career at Tranmere, has agreed a two-year contract and has now passed his medical at Millmoor.
Sharps has become the Millers' fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Scott Wiseman, Ritchie Partridge and Delroy Facey.
The Warrington-born player has amassed 186 appearances since signing professional terms in 1998.
Sharps is the latest of several players to move between Millmoor and Prenton Park this summer.
Midfielders John Mullin and Paul McLaren have rejoined ex-Millers boss Ronnie Moore at Tranmere, while striker Facey has moved in the opposite direction.
