Rochdale fans have been praised for their help in trying to defrost the Spotland pitch in time for Tuesday's clash with Notts County. Club officials and fans worked through the night, stoking 43 burning braziers around the ground.
But their efforts proved in vain when the match was postponed for a second time because of a frozen pitch.
Press officer Mike Brookes praised the club's fans: "They've been here all night. We can't thank them enough."
Keith Hill's side lie eighth in the table with two games in hand. A new date for the fixture is yet to be announced.
