Duberry made 13 Premier League appearances last season

Defender Michael Duberry has signed a new one-year contract with Reading.

The 32-year-old former Chelsea and Leeds centre-half joined the Royals from Stoke in January last year.

He told the club website: "I'm very happy to stay and it's nice to know that the manager has got the confidence in me to give me another year.

"Hopefully I will be able to reward him by helping to take the team back up, I've played in the Championship and I know what it takes to be successful."
