Rangers miss out on Europa League draw seeding bonus
Rangers will face a tricky tie in the last 32 of the Europa League
Rangers will not be seeded when the draw is made for the last 32 of the Europa League in Nyon on 17 December.
Their 1-1 draw with Bursaspor in the Champions League on Tuesday meant several results had to go their way for them to clinch a seeded place.
But with Ajax winning 2-0 at AC Milan and Spartak Moscow coming from behind to win 2-1 at Zilina, it is those teams who join Braga and Twente as seeds.
The Ibrox side could now face the likes of CSKA Moscow or Zenit St Petersburg.
They were defeated by the latter in the final of the Uefa Cup in Manchester in 2008.
The four best third-placed teams in the Champions League groups join the 12 Europa League group winners in the top half of the draw for the round of 32.
Rubin Kazan, Benfica and Basle were the other teams who finished third in their Champions League group and did not earn a seeded place.
