Rangers celebrate Kenny Miller's fine opening goal in Turkey
Rangers boss Walter Smith praised two teenagers who impressed in the 1-1 draw at Bursapor in the Champions League.
Kenny Miller scored for Rangers before the Turkish club secured their first point in Group C with a late equaliser.
Defender Darren Cole, making his first-team debut at 18, and 19-year-old midfielder Kyle Hutton, both featured because of injuries to key players.
"It is a big ask of them all," Smith said. "We hope they can take advantage of the experience they are gaining."
It was a night of mixed emotions for the Ibrox boss who will step down at the end of the season to be replaced by assistant Ally McCoist.
Smith insisted ahead of the clash in Turkey that it was not a dead rubber, despite them having already finished third spot in Group C, saying that money and being seeded still rested on the result.
As well as complimenting the efforts of his youngsters, Smith also paid tribute to the contribution of Miller who bagged his 19th goal of the season.
"It was a good performance from him overall and it was a terrific goal," Smith added. "He is having that kind of season where he is scoring that type of goal so we are delighted.
"He also created an opportunity for Steven Naismith early on so it was a good performance from him."
Six points might not be enough to guarantee Rangers a seeding in the Europa League when the draw is made later in the month.
Cole admitted to be as surprised as anyone about making his first-team debut.
"At first, as soon as I heard, I was very nervous," said the 18-year-old.
"But when I was out playing I thought I was fine after getting a few touches of the ball.
"It was a massive, massive shock. I've never been over the moon so much. At first I thought it was a joke. As soon as I saw the team-sheet I just had to get my head down and get on with it.
"It doesn't get much better. Straight from the under-19s to the first team is a massive step."
Cole was also glad to have the experience of David Weir and Lee McCulloch alongside him.
"Davie's like my dad, I get on really well with him," he added. "Lee McCulloch as well, I get on really well with him.
"They are the ones that helped me through the game."
