New Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic is likely to make his debut in Saturday's home meeting with St Johnstone.
The 24-year-old Croatian international has now been granted a work permit, having agreed to make the switch from Rapid Vienna last week.
Jelavic must now finalise his application process to get a visa in order to get Home Office clearance.
The Ibrox club will have until 1700 BST on Friday to register the striker to play against the Saints.
Jelavic cost Rangers in the region of £4m and joins James Beattie and Kenny Miller as the main forwards at Ibrox.
He will only be eligible for Champions League ties if his former club lose to Aston Villa in the Europa League.
