Barazite has made just three appearances for Arsenal's first team
Ian Durrant believes Arsenal forward Nacer Barazite has improved his chances of a move to Rangers after impressing in Tuesday's 2-1 defeat by Glentoran.
The 20-year-old could move to Ibrox on a year-long loan after playing for a young Rangers team in Northern Ireland.
And coach Durrant told Rangers' website: "He showed up in parts of the match as a very good football player.
"Hopefully we can work on Nacer over the next few weeks and get him to the point where we can do something."
Barazite, who signed for Arsenal from Nijmegen in January 2007, has made just three substitute appearances for the Gunners.
The versatile player, who can play on the wing, midfield or as a striker, made 36 appearances while on loan to Championship outfit Derby two season ago.
But the Netherlands Under-21 international failed to establish himself at the Emirates last season after suffering from shoulder injury problems that required surgery.

Barazite, who played for 77 minutes on the left side of midfield in the Belfast friendly, will now spend the rest of the month with the Scottish champions.
"Considering he has only had a week of pre-season training, I thought Nacer did well," said Durrant, who also revealed that Rangers had tendered bids for two unnamed players on Tuesday.
"You can see he has got a level of ability. Having come from Arsenal, we knew that anyway.
"We realised he would be a certain calibre of player and I'd like to see how he gets on over the next week or so.
"Once he gets a level of fitness over the next 10 days or so, I think we will be in a better position to judge."
Barazite was recommended to Rangers by Arsenal youth coach and former Celtic manager Liam Brady.
However, it was former Rangers defender Arthur Numan who sold the Ibrox club to his fellow Dutchman, with whom he works while on duty with Netherlands' Under-21 squad.
Barazite said: "I have met Arthur Numan a couple of times and I have spoken to him about Rangers and his experiences.
"Liam Brady is someone who has been very good to me. He has taken me to Arsenal and I am very pleased he is trying to get me a big chance at Rangers.
"It was a very good start for me tonight and I am pleased with my own performance as I know I can do much better with more training.
"Moving to Rangers would be good for me. It would be a step forward, not back, because they are a very big club and they play in the Champions League."
Meanwhile, Rangers are still searching for a replacement following the departure of top scorer Kris Boyd to Middlesbrough under freedom of contract.
The Glasgow club are waiting to hear whether their bid for Rapid Vienna striker Nikica Jelavic has been successful.
They have also handed a trial to Honduras striker Georgie Welcome, currently with Deportivo Motagua, and held talks about signing South Africa international Katlego Mphela of Mamelodi Sundowns.
