Frenchman Clement joined the Glasgow side in July 2006 |
Rangers midfielder Jeremy Clement has signed for Paris Saint-Germain. The 22-year-old moves for an undisclosed fee and is reunited with former Ibrox manager Paul Le Guen, who recently took over the Ligue 1 side.
Clement said: "It's a great chance for me to go back to France to a big club and work with Paul Le Guen again.
"I enjoyed my time with Rangers. I want to thank all the fans for their support and I wish the club every success in the future."
French under-21 international Clement arrived at the Glasgow club in July for 1.1m and made a total of 22 appearances.
But, with the sudden departure of Le Guen on 4 January, the former Lyon player expressed a desire to be reunited with his mentor in Paris.
Lyon were also in the running to re-sign Clement, but he has opted for working under Le Guen in the French capital.
New Rangers boss Walter Smith may now move for either Scott Brown of Hibernian or Hearts' Paul Hartley, as he attempts to reshape his squad.
