Le Guen feels Rangers are making steady progress |
Rangers manager Paul Le Guen felt that his side were worthy of at least a point after the 1-1 draw with Celtic. "We had a good game today and we deserved the point and maybe even the victory as we created many chances," he told BBC Scotland.
"I am happy because we never gave up and stayed in the game with a great team spirit so I am happy with that.
"We are better now than we were two months ago as the team is more settled but there is still a long way to go."
Rangers eventually found a way past Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc with two minutes to go as Brahim Hemdani's shot deflected off Celtic's goalscorer Thomas Gravesen and into the top left corner.
"There is still a long way to go but the important thing is to carry on. We are improving and to feel that we are is great," Le Guen added.

"We work hard and to be rewarded for that is great for a manager.
"It was a good game and it was full of commitment."
Le Guen was also delighted with the performance of Swedish defender Karl Svensson, who almost scored only to be denied by Boruc.
"It is not easy to come to Rangers and settle in straight away but he is starting to now and I think that showed today," he said.
"He is a very clever player and he is getting better."
Meanwhile, the rift that has threatened to develop between Le Guen and his captain, Barry Ferguson, was dismissed by the Frenchman.
The former Lyon boss questioned the importance of a captain's role in Scottish club football recently and Ferguson hit back at those comments in Sunday newspapers.
But Le Guen added: "He thinks what he wants to think but I am the boss."
Ferguson would only be drawn on the game, and he said: "I'm just happy we got a point.
"At least we showed a bit of spirit - that is what is needed if you want to play for Rangers.
"I think the last few weeks, apart from the Falkirk game, we have shown a bit of form and commitment," added the Scotland midfielder.
"Obviously, sixteen points is a massive gap, but I will certainly keep fighting. It's not over yet."
