Rangers manager Paul Le Guen wants to sign two new defenders before the transfer window closes. Marvin Andrews, Bob Malcolm, Jose Pierre-Fanfan, Olivier Bernard and Fernando Ricksen have been told they do not feature in the Frenchman's plans.
And Ian Murray is suffering from a viral infection that could see him sidelined for two months.
"We need two more defenders so we are trying to find a good solution," Le Guen told the club website.
