QPR have offered a one-year contract to goalkeeper Andy Marshall, who has been on trial at Loftus Road.
Marshall, 34, is due to discuss the club's offer early this week and is expected to sign before Rangers' opening-day match against Blackpool.
He is a free agent after leaving Coventry at the end of last season and has also had spells with Norwich, Ipswich and Millwall.
Rangers want Marshall to compete with first-choice keeper Radek Cerny.
Former Tottenham man Cerny was absent from training last week after going down with flu-like symptoms.
He missed Saturday's pre-season friendly against Southampton, although Marshall had already been pencilled in to play in that game.
