Queens Park Rangers have signed teenage forward Samuel Di Carmine on a season-long loan from Fiorentina.

The 19-year-old Italian made his Serie A debut in October 2006 and scored his first goal for the club in a Uefa Cup tie the following month.

Boss Iain Dowie said: "I went out to see him play in Italy and he did well. He leads the line well and uses his body well for someone so young.

"A season-long loan provides us with a chance to have a closer look at him."
