QPR defender Zesh Rehman believes there will be healthy competition for places in the squad next season following a summer of change.
In May, Iain Dowie took over as manager from Luigi de Canio.
And Rehman, 24, told BBC London 94.9: "There has been a lot of change at the club in a short space of time so it is a fresh start for everyone.
"It is an opportunity for everyone to show what they can do. It is hard, you know, to have competition for places."
Rehman added: "It doesn't matter who the manager is really but you've always got work to do in football.
"So the fact that it's Iain Dowie, I know I've heard a lot about him and he's keen on his fitness and massive on everything."
