Mahon made 36 appearances for Watford in the Premier League |
QPR have signed Watford midfielder Gavin Mahon, initially on loan with a view to a permanent transfer at the end of the season. The 30-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Vicarage Road this season, but came on as a substitute against Leicester on Tuesday.
Watford will receive an initial payment of 200,000 because Mahon is under contract until the end of the season.
"It's a very exciting time to be joining," Mahon told QPR's website.

"There were four or five other Championship sides that showed an interest, but once I'd spoken to the chairman, Gianni Paladini, there was never any doubt in my mind I'd be joining Rangers.
"The ambition and drive of the board and the new investors really impressed me and I'm delighted to be here."
Mahon started his professional career at Hereford before joining Brentford in 1998.
He moved to Watford for 150,000 in 2002, and made more than 200 appearances for the Hornets.
