Preston midfielder Chris Sedgwick signs a two-year extension to his contract which will keep him at Deepdale until the summer of 2010. He has played more than 130 games for North End since joining the club in November 2004 from Rotherham.
The 27-year-old told the club's website: "The manager has been getting a lot of the players signed up over the last couple of months.
"So I was pleased when the manager pulled me in and offered me a deal."
