Manager Harry Redknapp says he is relishing the chance to return to Portsmouth with Tottenham on Saturday.
The former Pompey boss is likely to face a hostile reception from fans when he returns to the club for the first time since he left for Spurs last year.
Redknapp told BBC Radio Solent: "Of course, I've been the best manager they ever had and I am very proud of what I achieved there.
"I'm looking forward to it, why shouldn't I?"
He added: "I'm not going back there as a manager who was useless and sulking and got them relegated three divisions below or had a nightmare.
"I went there and picked them up from the bottom of the Championship, and we became a great Premier League team, won the FA Cup and produced great footballers."
Redknapp also questioned the motives of Pompey fans planning to voice their discontent towards him.
"I don't know what I'm supposed to have done wrong, so I'm not bothered in the slightest," he said.
I don't want any security. I don't want anyone near me

Reports have suggested that the security level will be manned by SAS troops but Spurs officials denied the story.
"I don't want any security. I don't want anyone near me," Redknapp added.
Former Portsmouth players Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and Niko Kranjcar will also return to Fratton Park as part of the Spurs squad.
