Redknapp is focused on his job at Portsmouth

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has dismissed reports linking him with a return to former club West Ham.

Redknapp spent seven years in charge at Upton Park, leading the Hammers to fifth in the Premier League in 1999.

Since leaving he has led Pompey to FA Cup final success and steered the club to back-to-back top 10 finishes in the Premier League.

But Redknapp told BBC Radio Solent the stories were wide of the mark: "It's an absolute load of rubbish."

He added: "A few people have rung me up in the last couple of days but I've never spoken to anybody about it.

"We're building a team here and want to have another good season".
