Portsmouth defender Gregory Vignal says he wants to return to France in the summer after failing to earn a regular first-team place under Harry Redknapp. The ex-French Under-21 international was at Rangers last season but has not played for Pompey since January's FA Cup loss by former side Liverpool.
"Last year at Rangers, I played 45 matches. We won the League, League Cup and played in Europe," said Vignal, 24.
"It's hard to imagine staying without guarantees I'll play next season."
Vignal played regularly for Portsmouth under Alain Perrin earlier in the season but has only played one league game since Redknapp took charge.
"I came here to achieve something but I have not been given the opportunity to fulfil it," he added.
"I never asked for that but now I am stuck in this situation."
