Exodus Geohaghon seeks legal advice after confrontation
Geohaghon did not feature in the 1-1 draw against Hereford on Tuesday
On-loan Exodus Geohaghon has sought legal advice after claiming he was racially abused following Port Vale's 3-0 defeat at Accrington on 19 March.
Caretaker manager Mark Grew told BBC Radio Stoke: "I've spoken to Exodus twice since Monday to get his feelings.
"He wants a meeting with the Professional Footballers' Association, which he hasn't had yet, and wants some advice on what's going to happen."
The club say they will investigate the clash between Geohaghon and Vale fans.
"I left the ball in his court to have the meeting, to come back to me and we'll try and organise something on both sides," added Grew.
"There's two sides to the story here so we'll wait and see what the PFA have got to say about it and then we'll take it from there."
Grew added that he does not expect Geohaghon to return to the club.
"I don't think he'd do himself any favours coming back to be quite truthful, but having said that, let's wait and see what the outcome is after the meeting with the PFA."
Geohaghon did not feature in the 1-1 draw against Hereford at Vale Park on Tuesday, Vale's first game since the departure of manager Jim Gannon.
